hold a pen
index finger, middle fingers and thumb
hold it like a friend

the space of your hand
makes a smiling face
the gentle ink appears
as if by magic
from the tip

and you scrawl out your message
to the world that day

your room is a temple
your room is a shield
it is also an invitation
you may fear the corners
you may fear the door

your room is linked to your mind
you are fully your mind
your body
and your room

dark A.M.

people talking about the equipment they use to make electronic music
and I have no grasp of the conversation.

what I don’t know
could fill half the city
and it does fill half the city

in pulsing dark wavesof hating the music
and not knowing whats going on

Time Keepers

Posted: June 5, 2013 in Aphorism

There are Time Keepers,

Invisible mind sweepers,

That pass through you.

They leave a little bit of dust,

Take a little of the color out of your hair.

The Time Keepers decide

Which of your memories will reside,

The others they take as their fare.

Time taste like stale coffee.

Winter dies into slosh.

A grey sky hides the sun,

and the mysteries of the satellites.

Oh, grey men cometh!

Know Day

The price of beauty is brain damage.

The price of fame is insanity.

The price of love is slavery.

Yet we pay.

Oh how we pay.

Smiling and knowing.
