_cloud leVel seven (c.2003)

stand alone
in the broad landscape of
my mind-

turn around
to face the suns bright rays
that blind-

I’m happy
there’s more here than there
ever was-

Low days
incomprehension haze are in
the past-

no more freaking out
for now I ride the cloud

The city

it tries to take

the clouds

from your eyes.

Its a constant battle

the clouds

the towers.

The sun struggles

to close its chapter

on the next season.

Life After Sunrise

Posted: September 5, 2012 in clouds

This sky has got me by the eyeballs

white puffy shackles of inspiration

drive my pen hand crazy into endless dance on paper

words do nothing!

I can’t sleep!

swatting away mosquitoes and listening to birds mock me

The city continues somehow

even with this sunrise

I can’t do it-

How do these people keep driving without crashing?

How does everything keep inching past this momemnt

this freeze frame tableau

how does time continue now?

how do I go on with life?

90% clouds

Posted: September 5, 2012 in clouds

If the clouds looked like this every day.

I would never stop writing poetry,

my hand would probably cramp up and fall off

trying to describe the beauty

Looking at this sky

I can tell we only use ten percent of our brain for day to day

stuff of life

the other ninety percent is saved up

just to appreciate clouds

Looking at the sky this morning

my head is just blown wide open

They immediately make me want to do acid

then I realize I don’t need acid because the clouds alone are getting me high

I’m paranoid life could never be this epic or awesome again

I want to see this sky from every park bench and bridge in the city

I want to fly!

OMG to fly!

Clouds over a church

Like a fortress floating over the world

like paintings in a church

like a gargantuan white creature weightless

A sloth of beauty traverses

the blue expanse of heaven

Clouds That Kill the Moon

Posted: September 5, 2012 in clouds

I never knew

the clouds could dance out epic

dragons teeth layered wings of stars and lightning

Pink and gold capped mountains

grey and black roll onward to atmosphere’s destiny

The moon in its gaping open silver shock-

struck by awe as the over-night security guard

writing in his evidence notebook

all the words that fail to describe

the beauty of the morning’s moments.

Clouds that kill the moon.

A sunrise that devastates the english language.

I cannot speak enough expletives

all the histories of every cultures mythologies taken in vain

barely do justice to the shit shattering epicness of this sky.
